In early 2023 as a Design Student Technology Assistant at the University of Texas Liberal Arts Instructional Technology Services (LAITS) I was one of the main designers on the Faculty Search Committee PowerPoint Redesign. The PowerPoint itself is a 55-slide presentation given to different groups of University of Texas faculty members multiple times per semester. The slides illustrate the statistics behind diversity at the University of Texas and beyond, and work to shine light on the strategies for effectively hiring a diverse workforce.
To update the slides, our team at LAITS emphasized sustainability, intending the slides to be easily updatable for years to come, and effective display of data to increase audience understanding. I used Microsoft PowerPoint as the main program to build out the slides and Adobe Illustrator to create graphs.
